My experience with camouflage bedding:

I have 3 loves in life. My family, hunting and camouflage bedding. I’ve hunted all my life. In fact, my side of the family and my husband’s side of the family also enjoy hunting. We have roughly 20 acres of land that we use for this purpose. Fortunately, we have had many memorable experiences on this land. Now that my husband and I have 2 kids of our own, we plan on teaching them how to hunt once they are ready.

As for bedding, I guess you can say I’ve always had a sense of comfort sleeping under a camouflage comforter and sheets. When I was a young girl, my folks bought me a camouflage bedding set. I still have the same set – although I’ve since put it away in storage. I guess you can say my love for camouflage bedding began when I was young. You see, my family has always been big on hunting, and I remember I would bring my blanket along with me particularly when we would spend the night in the woods. My experience as a child is the reason why I like to surround myself with items and products that have camouflage decorations. But camouflage bedding is what gives me the most joy. It makes me feel like I’m in the woods again and it brings back great childhood memories. I’ve decorated our master bedroom and our both of our kids’ bedrooms with camouflage bedding sets. The children seem to really like it as well.

For the meantime, my husband and I are happy with our current set, but I’m always on the lookout for great deals on camouflage bedding. I guess you can say it’s a “woman-thing.”

Choosing the Right Bedding:

Bedding refers to the materials laid above the mattress of a bed for warmth and decorative effect. Bedding does not include the mattress, box spring or bed frame. Down materials are often used for warmth in bedding. Bedding sizes usually are made with the dimensions of the bed and mattress for which it is to be used in mind. Bed sizes vary considerably around the world, with most countries having their own standards and terminology. Furthermore, mattresses have different thicknesses, which must be kept in mind when designing bedding for a particular bed, especially if they are to be fitted. Each component part of the overall bedspread is sized specifically to accommodate the individual specifications; from duvet covers to fitted sheets, everything needs to be produced with the appropriate dimensions to avoid excessive overhanging or, worse still, being too small to fit! Bedding is made from a variety of materials, including cotton, flannel, down, polyester, satin, silk, wool and latex.

Getting a good night’s sleep is important to your health. That’s why it’s important to have a bed that is comfortable and bedding that is equally relaxing to sleep on. Your bed is the focal point of your bedroom. This means the sheets you use should have a color scheme that matches the theme of your bedroom. Choosing the right set of bed sheets will add personality and appeal to your room. Here are some tips to follow when choosing bedding sheets for your room.

One factor you need to consider is buying the correct size sheets for your mattress. This may sound silly but often people end up purchasing the wrong size sheets. Avoid this mistake by knowing what size sheets you need before you make the purchase.  Generally, bedding sheets come in the following sizes: Twin, Full, Queen and King. Matching pillow case covers usually come along in the set, which is very convenient.

Another factor you should pay attention to is a term known as thread count per inch (TPI). A higher TPI will have a softer feel. Usually a TPI number above 200 should provide comfort and durability. If you are looking to maximize your sleep, avoid bedding that offers anything less than 200 TPI. Common fabrics include cotton, flannel and mixed-fabrics. Of course, you can always go with satins and silks although the price would be more expensive. Keep in mind that you want the color of the sheets to match the overall color scheme of the room.
